Banned In Oklahoma chronicles the years of courtroom wrangling that finally restored the film The Tin Drum to video store shelves after a judge in 1997 proclaimed it to be child pornography and the police seized all local copies.

Winner of both the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival and the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film The Tin Drum is a modern classic. In this epic film of Germany during the first half of the twentieth century, based on the novel by Günter Grass, a boy resolves to stop growing at the age of three and witnesses the beauties and horrors of life during the rise and fall of fascism.
